Dear Children and Parents,

We miss your faces and smiles, and we hope that you are all keeping well.  This is the first of our weekly messages to you in which we will bring you recommendations, ideas and links to support your home learning.  We would love to see what you’ve been getting up to at home.  There is an email address below if you would like to send us some photos - in particular we would love to see a photo of your gingerbread biscuits (read on…!)

Other Learning Tasks

Please remember that children learn and develop their interests through play, so do encourage your child to play with their (non-screen related) toys and with everyday items.

One of our main focuses in Reception is to develop speaking and listening, so we would really appreciate it if you could maintain continuity with this at home.  Talk with your child, ask them open-ended questions, and listen to them.

Please, please do not rely on screen time to occupy your child!

With all the best for a healthy, safe and happy week.

From, Tessa, Jag and Deborah
