A great start to the year for school sport

It’s been a great start to the year with both the success of the Blenheim Triathlon for staff, parents and children and the long awaited start to the full interschool competition/festival calendar.

Our boys football team travelled to Capital City Academy a couple of weeks ago to take on 18 of the borough’s schools in a competition organised by QPR.

The boys were outstanding, making their way successfully to the final, where they beat Preston Park 1-0.

They will now go on to represent Brent in the EFL Cup and the London Youth Games!

A week later they played our neighbours, Islamia, in their first league game, winning 5-0.

Not to be outdone, our girls team, many of whom were playing their first ever football match, beat Islamia girls 6-1.

This Friday, we go to the Tag Rugby tournament to defend our title and the girls will also play in a Capital City football challenge in November..

Well done and good luck to all the children involved.
