Malorees childrens send "Good Luck" video to Tokyo Olympian swimmer Tom Dean

Malorees children and teachers prepared a very special video message to former pupil Tom Dean as he prepared for his amazing double-gold win at the Tokyo Olympics.

In the video the children wish the 21-year old swimmer luck and sing "it's coming home, swimming's coming home".

A week later Tom became the first British man in 113 years to win two swimming golds at the same Olympics after he followed up his victory in the freestyle with the 4 x 200 metre relay!

Tom said "What a lovely surprise to get these messages from the children and from some familiar faces. Malorees holds a special place in my heart and I'm looking forward to going back to the school when I get back from Tokyo!".

Our PE Head Mr Cleary is hoping Tom will have time over the coming months to tell our children how he achieved such an amazing personal and team goal.
