Mental Health & Wellbeing

At Malorees, we prioritise the emotional wellbeing and mental health of our pupils, families, and staff. Our Inclusion Team works closely with children and parents who request support, as well as those we identify potentially benefiting from additional intervention.

We work in partnership with several established organisations and therapeutic professionals to provide a comprehensive and responsive wellbeing offer.

Our Wellbeing Approach

What Supports Good Mental Health?

Feeling Good-Experiencing positive emotions such as curiosity, enjoyment, safety, happiness, and a general sense of emotional wellbeing.

Functioning Well- Building healthy relationships, managing daily challenges, maintaining confidence and feeling in control of one’s choices and environment. Our pastoral approach supports children in developing resilience, emotional literacy, and self-regulation.

Promoting Children’s Wellbeing

We encourage pupils to:

  • Use positive self-talk and affirmations
  • Maintain a healthy, balanced diet and stay hydrated
  • Engage in daily physical activity
